Description

Stubai HMS PICO EASYLOCK screw gate carabiner

Small HMS carabiner

The STUBAI HMS PICO is despite its dimensions a full-blooded HMS karabiner. The specially designed contours lend it particularly to use with modern thin ropes and the munter hitch (HMS). The PICO has already made a name for itself as a belay karabiner working perfect with the Stubai Tuber, Figure 8 and other belay devices. For alpine climbing, where every gram counts, it is used as the main belay karabiner. As is expected of us at STUBAI, the screw is high quality brass to ensure it keeps working as good as new for years and years (it helps if it’s kept clean and given a drop of oil occasionally). The eye-catching anodized red finish provides optimal surface protection as well as looking great.
With its proven Easylock (=keylock), you can forget annoying snagging when clipping on and off. We have minimised wherever possible apart from in safety, naturally. With its special profile, we have combined superb handling with low weight and still managed to retain an impressive breaking strain. With the STUBAI PICO, (Latin for small, and portuguese for peak!) the name already says it all!
